Default Clean neutrall

I race a 57 Chevy wagon with a 427SBC and 400 hydro, runs 10.40-126, thinking of going to clean neutral and trying to justify it, I don't neutralize at finish line and have had no issues. Any thoughts on this?

Wouldn't have a 3 speed car without it!!! If you ever brake a engine at the finish line and need to do something in a hurry this is the only way to get it out of gear and not take the chance of hitting low gear.
