Default Mid Atlantic .90 Series rolls into Numidia

Numidia, Pa – The Mid Atlantic .90 series roars back to life on July 10th & 11th at Numidia Dragway for the 3rd annual North vs. South .90 Shootout. Coming off the most successful Mid Atlantic .90 event in the history of the series, the group gets back at it after an almost 6-week break. Due to Covid regulations last year the series did not visit the Numidia, Pa facility but, will make it is return two weeks before the Lucas Oil series invades the facility for two events. In 2019, the series finished just before a rainstorm hit the facility washing out the finals of Super Pro. Winners that night included Bill Hardifer (SC). George Smith (SG) and Kevin Kohr (SST) taking the Inaugural North vs. South trophies home, that rainstorm would claim the Sunday portion of the event that weekend.

What makes Numidia so special is the family atmosphere at the track itself, the awesome food, along with the scenic views during the sunset as it sits in the valley not far from the Susquehanna River and the family friendly Knoebels Amusement Park. That weekend racers have a shot at four big chances to claim victory on the mountain. This year, Numidia and Luke Bogacki’s This is Bracket Racing Driver Series joined forces to put together an additional series for the Numidia regulars at the track for a chance to win a $10,000 national championship. The final two events of the 8-race series are scheduled to finish on the July 10th & 11th date. This means you have an additional shot at a guaranteed $2,000 winners check on Saturday or Sunday in Super Pro or $1,500 in Pro for both days for an exceptionally low entry fee. There is an additional $50 points fund for the TIBR points championship. For the .90 crowd Race # 3 & 4 of the 2021 season will also be included on both those days that if the series can generate 32 cars on Saturday it will pay out $1,600 to win and $1,200 to win on Sunday. The entry fees are a little different for both days in the .90 classes as Saturday is $130 and Sunday is $110.

Gates will open at 5pm Friday Night the 9th (weather permitting) for the Street Legal Drags and Quick 8 event. On the 10th gates swing open at 9am with Junior Dragsters running Q1 at 10am and hopefully getting the .90 cars their qualifiers completed to allow some to cross over into the bracket race later in the night if they wish too. Saturday Night the .90 series welcomes back the ever popular “Racers BBQ” beginning at 6:30pm in which racers & crew are welcomed over to President Rob Keister’s trailer for a Taco Bar that night and to sit around and share stories about their day. On Sunday, gates open at 8am with Juniors hitting the track at 9am. The .90 crew will only run 1 time run and into eliminations to get racers on the road home earlier. Those that wish to leave their rigs behind for the Lucas Race beginning on July 21st may do so but, will have to be moved to a designated spot as there is a large event coming to the track the weekend in between.
