Default Voltage reducer Voltage step down

Anyone use a voltage reducer for accessories that are 12v when using a 16v charging system?

Never had the need for step down. Fuel pump, water pump, fan, data logger, ignition all are compatible with 16v systems that charge at 19+ volts.

Some have said incandescent bulbs don't like the higher voltage. In my 15 years of racing on 16 volts, I've blown maybe 2 tail light bulbs.

Most newer fuel and water pumps will tolerate the 18 volts that a 16 v system will see when charging with an alternator .
What I have seen is cooling fans being damaged by the higher voltage.and also incandescent lighting on the car ....Also COPO Camaro's and DragPak smart window modules will not tolerate the higher voltage .
I use this voltage reducer that is made for electric golf carts to drop the voltage down to a usable 12-14 volts for radios and other accessories .

Thanks for all the info I appreciate the replys. I have an onboard air compressor and it seems to run fast with the 16v.
