My Dad turned 18 yrs old Dec 6, 1943. He served his time dodging bullets in the Philippines. My Great great Grandmother fresh from Germany lost two brothers in the civil war.
I proudly display My Dad's Flag and metals. I stand in honor of him and all those who gave their all.
With all my heart...Thank You America.

Bill, think you already know how much I respect you, your devotion to country and the freedom of speech that many of us fought for. I've been conflicted about this for some time and I personally accept that complete racial equality (as taught by the three men I admire the most, i.e. America Pie) is decades past being achieved. But having served in SEA as a medic I zipped up far too many body bags to agree with this means of protest. Even failing to remove your hat falls into the same category with me so I'm pretty rigid on this. I don't feel that taking a knee has done any more than harden the hearts that need adjusting. Also recognize that all of our hearts are in need of adjustment, its part of the sanctification process after all.

That's such a sad deal. Watching what happened on TV shows the devastation and loss of control in the city.

Rioting is NOT protesting. All it does is destroy property.

There is no one answer for the shape this country is in except to get down on our knees and PRAY, daily.

A BIG thank you to all the men and women who have served and, especially those that paid the ultimate price. I walk by my Dad's picture, framed discharge papers and dog tags each day and say Thank You.

I don't have the skills to add a video here. So if someone could do it for me, thank you.. The video is of Reba McEntire's song "Back to God"

As is usually the case when there are very divergent opinions; there is confusion. Rioters, looters, and arsonists are not peaceful protestors and should be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. What happened in Portland was not peaceful in any way and those involved should have been arrested and prosecuted. The protests that Martin Luther King led were peaceful, most of the recent protests across America have been peaceful; and if it weren't for the protests such as the Boston Tea Party that led to the American Revolution, America might still be a British colony.

By the way , how's that working out for him?
Kapernick had the courage of his convictions to take an unpopular stand which ultimately led to him losing his job. Muhammad Ali similarly had the courage of his convictions in 1967 when he refused to be drafted which led to him being banned from boxing for 3 years. Both men put their personal feelings and convictions above their jobs and monetary gains.
