Default More tire questions

I run Goodyear 14x32 x15 1984 on my car. I tried Hoosier's a couple years ago (I can't remember the number) but I couldn't get them to hook the same as the GY. What is the Hoosier equivalent to the GY 1984 14x32x15. I can get a much better price on the Hoosier. Also in the GY I run 7 psi what air press should I run in Hoosier, the car is 2800lbs 5.14 rear and a C-4 trans. Thanks Robbie

Robby,
I run and always have run Hooiser 32x14.5x15 stiff sidewalls. They do great on my car with 8.5 psig.

Greg, thanks for the response. I'm going with the Hoosier 13.5x32x15. Roy said its their stiff side wall equivalent to the GY 1984. I tried their 14x32x15 a couple years ago and it just never hooked like the GY. I hope these work for me, I can get them quite a bit cheaper than the GYs. Are you going to make it to MIR?

Well I've got a few races on the Hoosier's now and they work great on a good track. I ended up running 9 1/2 lbs air and stiffened the stocks up a click. One question, and I think I know the answer, if the track is marginal (hot and slick) what do I need to do to keep the car hooking. It seems to want to spin when the tracks hot?

Sorry, haven't been on here for a while. One thing is for sure, they are working well for you!
Now, concerning hot or hot and slick track-
Two options, stay home or put about three numbers in the bank.
Hope to see ya at Pittsburgh
