The pros are running their 2nd round now. Looks like we might get another storm in the night tonight. The temp is down to 81 and it feels a lot better out there.

A comment about the drug testing going on here. First of all, I think it is a good thing that they are testing. But these people need to use some common sense! This morning during the first round of eliminations they were in the lanes handing out their paperwork for testing. And you have to sign whenever they give you the papers. Judi Bureski already had her helmet on, the engine running and pulling up under the tower whenever these people approached her. She had to roll down the window, take off her helmet, listen to their speil, then sign as she is just a couple of cars back from running the first round. She ended up with a -.116 red light. I am sure everyone has their procedures they go thru when getting ready to race, and this was bound to throw you off. Anyway, someone needs to just use some common sense about when to give out the tests!!

Come on Patsy,NHRA using common sense is just never going to happen. Especially when it comes to applying it to the sportman racers. I feel bad for Judy. That was flat ***** stupid on thier part.

Its All Star Day. Weather is calm and clear 30% chance of rain high around 93 with humidity in the 50 to 60 range.

We will try to get pictures of the "Stars" in staging.

I will try to give a report from the finish line. I tried to get pictures yesterday at the stripe but found out I really sucked at it.

A word about my drug test, I took mine on Thursday and with the exception of Kevin Zaskowski and Rob Turkel the rest of us all had gray hair or no hair and were recieving or about to receive social security. I never saw any rolling paper, crack pipes or powered sugar noses. Maybe NHRA is trying to get their numbers up. My biggest surprise was seeing Bob Blackwell there.
