Average cost to compete at the Big Go, including entry, accommodations, food, race car and support equipment costs. $3,000?

Not a chance, how about...

A freshen up to make the field...
6000 mile round trip tow..
10 days on the road motels and food..
Crew passes and food
If you are going to with $3000 and no credit cards, do yourself a favor and stay home...

Just sayin...

My only issue is with the dirt or should I say gravel dirt roads for racers to go to the staging lanes at Indy . Since I am a "PIT SNOB" and the reason is when I raced in 1963 ,64, 65 I pittied on dirt said i would never pit on dirt or have to drive to lanes on dirt/ gravel roads .Indy is a huge event it is too bad the track still has dirt/gravel roads for the racers to drive on , .lol at me being picky with my $150,000 super stocker on what it will be driven on

Maybe next year at Indy year they could have an event like the Baby Gators a week before the Gatornationals. I know they would have to move the event at Beach Bend back but at Indy they would have plenty of parking for everyone. They could run class. They could have no limit on entry's it could be all run. That way there would be no complaining about parking on the dirt or having to drive on dirt roads or having a 1/2 mile drive to the staging lanes. Just a thought.

If they want to eliminate the quota system for the Baby Indy, I would agree with that, but they still need to have class eliminations with a 128 car field. Anything less and it's the same as a National Open. Class winners should be automatically qualified into the field and the remaining cars to fill the 128 car field should be based on their performance only.

I was thinking the same thing. We had a blast racing class at the baby gators. I bet they will be doing that again this year. Parking is still a pain no matter when you get there, If you have a stock or super stock car you should be used to parking in the grass/dirt and driving on gravel. Personally I prefer to park on the grass. We camp at the track and its cooler
