Sure thing Lew. Well there is not much going on here so I thought I would update my camera. I took a few shots of what was out today and my new ride. Not many cars out, but I did find a few of the crew and drivers polishing their rigs working their cars or just relaxing.
For many of us staying here we usually have to unhook to top off for fuel, water and dump the holding tanks. Not so here in Gainesville, fuel, water and dumping trucks comes right to your motorhome door. Definitely a plus when racing back to back events. |

Ken, I don't know the two guys by the motorhome, but by the looks on their face, it looks like they are wondering what the poor people are doing right now.

Hey Ken can you get a shot of the rest of that blue striped trailer such as the tow vehicle and race car that came out of that box. Nice trailer.
Them two racers lounging around should be out there getting a Florida tan instead of sitting in the shade. And thanks for the fine reporting and pics. Ron Ortiz U/SA made in the shade

Ron, that's one of Gary Richard's rigs. It hauled the 2010 Cobra Jet sliver Stocker and Paul Iaconis's Super Stocker Camaro driven by Frank Maiolo. Its a Peterbilt with a NRC conversion and a Gold Rush stacker. Gary also brought the Peterbilt toterhome and trailer, they had five cars to bring down.
I know this is the stk/ss section, but the last photo is Danny Bisbano next to his Super Comp car doing routine maintenance like most of us who decided to stay between races. |

Wow, A divisional race in Gainesville Florida.... then a three day layover at the track... then the Gatornationals....WHAT A LIFE! It's a beautiful thing to be bathing in the Florida sun, while swimming in Sportsman Drag Racing Cars! A whole three days to wonder around and meet some good ole like minded neighbors. Sonny's just up the road a little, the young folks can check out the Gator college girls. I so wish I was there competing along with you, maybe next year. Make sure you let NHRA know how much you like the double header deal!
