I think some of you were talking about Vernon Rowley's 1964 426 Hemi Dodge earlier on in this thread.

Darrell Davis probably has the most complete list of anyone for the '64 and '65 Hemi cars since he searched out all of the IBM cars at Chrysler for these cars to write his books.

I've got to say it again. If you haven't read "We Were the Ramchargers", do so. You are in for a treat!

Here's a few shots of Dave Strickler & Bill Jenkins and their 'Dodge Boys' 1964 Race Hemi Dodge 2 door sedan...another 2% car.

HM
Vernon was a good frend of mine, we raced together for years. The last few years I raced Vernon had a hand in the engins of my SS/A cuda. We traveled together his car on tralier behind my van truck. Vernon did engines and I did suspension on the cars. It was a good match as it keep cost down for both of us. Someone earler said that Vernon had raced Chev. engins for a time, don't think that is correct. He ran an Olds. in the roadster(which was a coupe till he cut the top of to run as roadster),and then went to 33 or 34 Ford coupe that had a supercharged Olds in B/G charger. I never knew him to run Chev. engins. |
