deeply saddened. I called him one nite from Canada regarding a '64 289 cyl head issue. problem solved. always have followed his racing via DRC/national dragster & will always regret not being able to get to the west coast to see him run. there are class champions...kip is a true champion with class.

R I P. I never knew the gentlemen but from what I just read in these pages he was some great man. He passed on my little brothers birthday who we lost 4 years ago June.
What a great video Ford Racing had on Kip. stock 64 block, stock 289 crank, 9500 rpm launches to heaven. wow. Chris. |

Just a little update:
I just arrived home from helping Kip's daughters go thru things at the house.Wanted all of you to know, they have really enjoyed all the things everybody has wrote here on class racer. As others have wrote on here, Kip was a classical pianist, total authority on figure and roller skating, and a certified pilot. Here in the last few years he had really took on bike riding and enjoyed timing how long it would take him to go X amount of miles (imagine that!) Keep the stories rolling in guys, his daughters are having a ball reading them Mike |

Kip was also the Stepfather to Darin Morgan.
Darin has always given credit to Kip for his career as a racing cylinder porter and builder. |
