Jeff,

Before I start complaining, I want to say how I think this is a great idea and thank you and everyone involved for creating a new playground for us. If there is anything I can do to help let me know.

What is the story with the weights. Obviously a 5.7 can't weigh the same as a 6.4 or a 428. When can we expect to hear officially what the final weights are?

Is there a rule book somewhere?
Will the Pro Tree be 4 or 5 tenths?
Will it be a Pro ladder?
Who will be checking the internals of the engines?

Wink Re: Kaboom!

.5 pro tree, sportsman ladder, fast loser comes back (no bye after rd 1)probably 3250 v8 unblown, 3450 v10 un blown, 3650 blown, the 428 ford still to be determined. None of this in stone, but kinda cement. stick/auto same. Tech undetermined, but it will be there. NHRA specs, 9 in tires, More as it becomes available. There really has been a lot of attention, and I think it will be fun.

We seem to be making great progress. Hot Rod Magazine is indicating they will cover the first event in Houston, and Mopar and Ford have indicated some parts contingency for the series, and are working on more contingency from more sponsors. The Hot Rod Magazine would be a return to old covering the hot races of the year.

Thats pretty funny right there. DP and shoestring budget shouldn't be in the same sentence. Not in my type of shoe string budget anyway.
