like I mentioned make Saturday's bigger deal as the Sportsman will be the main attention not a passing idea to fill in downtime on Sunday Just a thought about highlighting the Sportsman away from the pros. Still running in front of Fans on Saturday if a racer wants that to me it does not matter, Make the Purse ten times with the main sponsor for them on Saturday. The sponsor will get more advertising impressions for them this way

Re: “Live “ from Norwalk 2022
Don, while most of us would love to run for 10 x the money, I think we are
aware if NHRA found a sponsor willing to pay an extra 20,000.00 or so per race ( 40,000.00 if 10 x Stock & Super Stock) or approx. 800,000.00 per year, that money would become the new NHRA/Zinger/Blastoff/ Total Point Runoff Spectacular Race within a Race, for the pros. Unfortunately, if we want to run to completion on Saturday in front of a crowd, a round of the pro's would have to be run after we were finished, or we would be racing in front of a crowd just slightly larger than we have at points meets.
