Where car is at today.
1) Fuel Cell/Pump / Battery installed. Just got rest of braided line to go up front. When I last used this fuel cell I have a AN Fitting plug for the unused outlet but it would drip leak. Any suggestions to seal including sealants? 2) Ignition mounted on the dash side of heater core block off plate. Battery cable runs up to a lug on this plate then a separate cable to starter. Battery cable #1 welding cable. 3) Front suspension with QA1 Adjustable shocks. Right now set on the "80/20" setting. Six cylinder springs with 1.5 coil cut out. Stock disc brake conversion. Lighter drag race version part of the "later upgrade" list. Master Cylinder from 83 Dodge. 4) Engine compartment. Basically waiting for the 396! |

Here are body shots. Just need to get passenger side front fender extension. Also have a better trunk lid on the radar next couple weeks. I will be painting myself. Not a "dime rocket" but maybe a "50 cent rocket"

Looks Great! However I would lower the fuel cell. I got tossed at a Div 7 National event because the top of my cell was higher than the top of my rear wheel house. I had it mounted above my spare tire well to clear the tire i was using for ballast. Plus the "gravity" of being high up can cause fuel to flow past the floats causing the motor to hydraulic.(You can ask Wes Mcgann about that.) Just an FYI to help you prevent an issue later.

Just had to post this. I mounted slicks and threw them on to make sure for clearance. Starting to look like a "real drag car" now. LOL Paint on the way- next pics will be of painted car. Then we work on motor/tranny.

Painted this last weekend. Will add another coat of clear coat but basically done. Have new Hoosiers front tires ordered. Real "roller" now.

Colors are Metallic Silver with Metalfake , Candy Red stripes. Pics don't show the metaflake well. I was going for a nostalgia 60's early 70's paint scheme since I will be racing in the N.E.T.O. (Northeast Timing Organization ) series too.
