1965 Ford Falcon Sprint

289/200 HP 2-Barrel........F/S (12.50 - 13.99 Wt/Hp)

In 1968, they were running in K/Stock (13.00 - 13.99 Wt/Hp)

A 2650 lb. Lightweight

Too bad Ford didn't offer the 289/225 HP 4-Barrel for this car.

Paul,

They should have offered the K code 289/271 in these cars like they did in Canada. What a pocket rocket it would have been!

Jim,

I put that 1965 Falcon Sprint in there, because my father's friend had one.

Vinatge Burgundy, 289/200 HP 3-Speed on the column.

Ran it in K/Stock in 1968.

Added Cragars, a 4-Speed Transmission (which took about 3-days to install), Hurst Shifter, and a Posi-Rear w/3.89 Gears.

Ran 15.80's, which was very respectable.

Did the 1965 Caliente have the 289/225 and 271?

Good Call

In 1965 Mercury Comet Cyclone 1965.

289/271 HP............D/Stock
289/225 HP............F/Stock

Some came thru with the fiberglass-hood option.

What is it ?

The question asked in late-1964.

1965 Plymouth Barracuda 'Formula S'

273/235 HP 'High Performance' or 'Commando'

273/235 HP........F/S

The Golden Commando's set the 1965 NHRA F/Stock National Record......(13.44 @ 103. 68 MPH).......with this combination.

My dad worked for Buick in '65.

One of these was his "demonstrator" for that year.
