That E10 crap costs about 2 MPG also. More detonation prone too. Only a good deal for the corn farmers.

Most gas in the US is E10. They dont even have to tell you that they have blended in the ethanol . The EPA is starting to push E15, but supposedly only for later model cars.

Round here they do have to tell you. Stickers on the pumps. Several stations here locally are still selling straight gas. My wife's Lexus shows a consistent tank average of 21 MPG around town on straight gas. 18/19 on E10. It averages 28 highway, 25/26 on E10.
My old gas motor home, towing the race car, got 7 to 8 on straight gas. 5 to 6 on E10. 2 MPG there was also 25%. :-) in Texas the pumps said "May contain up to 10% Ethanhol") according to my mileage down there I never bought any that did not.

All the stations around here have the same stickers "May contain up to 10% Ethanol." I don't think you could find straight gas locally.
There was a great deal of discussion about increasing the amount of Ethanol in our motor fuel, which would be bad for older vehicles not designed to run on it. It looks like that might not happen because of the damage to this years corn crop because of the drought and the resulting higher prices for everything made with corn. One of the original sales points to using the Ethanol was that it was cheaper than petroleum, but I think they may have a hard time proving that now! Lew

Hope your right Lew. That stuff sucks. Had to back the timing up for my daily driver Trans Am. It pings on E10, but some started selling straight gas again. Yippee. :-)
