James, nice shots of some of the A/FX altered wheel base cars from the reunion...and yes the 50th anniversary of the 426 Hemi will sure be something wherever it is going to be held...I hope it has a drag strip & it's not just another car show.

Pretty hard to top the '08 reunion...first class all the way. Sure do hope there is a 50th deal tho. Quaker City was an Ideal location...legendary track, beautiful...where it all happened back in the day.
With regard to this thread it was very cool to see the original afx cars present and how each was constructed/modified differently by the different teams. It is great to see how these cars were restored/preserved so carefully .

If anyone is interested in 1:18 diecast replicas of many of these historic rides, check them out at www.supercar1.com ,, theres also a newly issued run of some of Bill Jenkin's cars. I picked up a Melrose Missle last year, before they sold out and the quality is amazing,, even got driver, Cecil Yother to sign the roof.

Perhaps this is why the "NO SOLID ROCKET FUEL" rule was put into place.

Here's a converted '65 A990 Plymouth, now with an injected hemi but this one looks like it still retains it's original wheel base but notice the engine location...a lot of old Mopars were cut and converted to altered wheel base cars over the next few years
