Re: Original hemi dart information
Need your opinion here, guys- my Dart is nearly ready to hit the local dragstrip this early summer. Getting upgraded axles now, and the guys working on my car are worried that the Cragar rims just wouldn't be safe with the hp and tire I will be running (950 hp, 604 stroker hemi with cross ram, and 14" slicks). Even modifying them, with bolts ran through the bell, as LiteWeight has suggested, they don't want to take the chance. A shame, since I had just bought a new set of Cragars and slicks. I still have a really nice set of SuperTricks that my car came with, but I really wanted a "1960's" look; not a "1970's" (or later) look. Any suggestions? I thought about just running plain black wide steelies, since my current paint scheme is the original primer gray and black...

Re: Original hemi dart information
Didn't know they made a Cragar to fit a 14' slick. I say go with Cragar fronts and steelie backs or Super Tricks on all 4 corners.

Or maybe some Torque Thrust style. Last edited by Charlie A; 02-07-2018 at 08:33 PM. |

Re: Original hemi dart information
I've never been a fan of the Keystone Klassics for some reason, but those are great suggestions! I'm going to have to play around with Photoshop on the Torque Thrust idea. Thanks! Last edited by LO23; 02-07-2018 at 09:15 PM. |

Yep, here are some photos of my car, since all of my old ones are now defunct, thanks to Photobucket. Some old shots, and some even older shots, and some recent ones, in my lower garage with the new Cragars and slicks on. I need to get some photos and video uploaded with the new engine sometime soon. thank you.
