I agree with the exception of the last point. The majority of class records are at minimum now.

This is clearly driven by NHRA bean counters, NHRA is not managed by anyone at the executive level thst has a clue about what racers or at least performance class racers desire.

We pay our membership fees. With my membership to NHRA, I expect them to do their jobs such as managing racing for a fair playing field with keeping to the rule book, tear downs and inspections of vehicles. Also, giving racers that deserve acknowledgment their dues and having it posted in ND and not as an after thought.

The Sport of Class racers was set on a particular pentacle of Ideals. Most of which is toGO FAST! Just like the Spirit of JULY 4th and America We should be internally motivated to Race and be the Fastest! Handicap racing is necessary but SECONDARY NOT PRIMAL! This Sport owes us nothing but a fair playing field! Suggesting there's "no motivation" is extrinsic motivation plagued by "what do you owe me" gambling mentalities. This is what's wrong with Super Stock and Stock in my humble opinion! Why should NHRA feed a bunch of hooligans with their hands out! Ultimately they are giving us exactly what we're asking for...a gamblers race. Lets hold this sport to a higher standard about what we want it to be. Hence this starts from inside US not what NHRA WILL PAY! What I see is happening is the classic denigration of moral fiber to "getting paid" instead of the Glory of being the Best! This is what ultimately whats wrong with this Great sport and our great Country! Wally and George are both rolling in their graves! Stand UP be accountable! Hold TRUTH above Money! If this is for me... I tried to set GTFA at Belle Rose and missed it by 4 huns. Could've set GTEA bcuz it was at the minimum and my 4.88s were blown. No glory with that on my comeback. Will try again this fall. Bucket list item for me, never had one!

Bubski remembers walking thru the staging lanes and every other car it seemed to Bubski had the " N.H.R.A. RECORD HOLDER "proudly painted on the front fender !! some of the cars had several years and or decades of pride spelled out right there !! Those guys got into class racing cause it was about trying and learning how to make a better mouse trap and the cars were also badazz !! Real muscle and not any factory "ringers" like they have now !! Cars you watch in the stands and wanna drive one real bad not jelly beans from Pro Stock !! If you believe Stock ,Super Stock is only bracket racing and still pissing and moaning about the cost or payout !! You would be a fool not to just stay bracket racing and use all the money you'll save on the super massaged parts to buy buy backs and the like and win more if you do win !! Bubski's also got a feeling that some would rather not have NHRA see what they're doing either !! Online tech and your pinky swear that your legal is about what they have now !! Sure hate for them to see my max lightened ,huge cam tunnel and relocated lifter bore block and very liberal "off the guide centerline" enhanced Stocker heads !! If no ones looking who cares ?? When's the last time you just told a cop you were speeding and would appreciate the ticket ? Bubski also believes a lot of these racers as forementioned with decades of Records to their credit are probably getting a little tired of constant teardowns and nothing for it and lets face it they're not kids anymore !! However Bubski knows who many are and has the highest respect for their achievements to this day !!
