like to thank larry and mike merk , for all the hard work they put in helping run this . mike and his cohart did a great job taking care of the water boxes. larry walked a lot to cover ladders and to get people to staging lanes. it was a fun time, brian Thompson helped getting E.T. numbers . I think everyone enjoyed racing there, again, thanks. congrats to gary gande and jim caughlin on winning each day.

It was great being at Renegade for this event. Got to meet some people that I only knew of before. Dave Noll and Jerry Pruitt are both very nice people and great to talk to. Hanging with friends for the weekend is what life is all about. Thanks to all for a great weekend.
Dave Noll good luck with your projects. I know you talked with Brian Seaburg for quite awhile and probably learned a lot of valuable information. Larry Merk you did a great job of getting the racers to the lanes and I know Brian Thompson helped with the info you needed. Mike Merk great job on the photos.

Well I guess I am biased (as I won the Sunday race) but I did want to say that I had a great time and very much appreciate everyone that worked to put this race on. Just kind of a fun low stress weekend. I think it would be great if we could work at getting some sort of series going at some of these tracks that aren't on the Divisional schedule (Spokane, Medford, Madras, Walla Walla, Renegade and others). If we want to encourage local racers to build class cars, we need to make a showing so they can see what it's all about. I had quite a few people stop by and quiz me about how class racing works, this is our opportunity to attempt to groom some future racers.

A big THANK YOU to all the racers who attended this race, 19 in all. We realize it was short notice, but that was beyond our control. From talking to most of you over the two days it looked like everyone had a good time.
Thanks also to: Mike Merk and Ryan Warter who collaborated and contributed to the payout to encourage more racers to attend. Mike and my grandson, Kaden, for working the burnout boxes for 2 full days. Everyone really appreciated your work. Brian Thompson for helping me with the qualifying order and ladders. Larry McLanahan for ensuring that track prep was up to par, and for going home and getting your FS/A car to race the 2nd day after having problems your FSS/C car the first day. Dave Noll for taking and posting the winner circle photos. (I completely forgot!) I enjoyed talking with everyone, especially the ageless wonder, Pete Kost, who at 86 years young is an inspiration. Billy Nees might have had a seizure if he were there with so many of those 302 Ffords in the pits. Congrats to Gary Gandee and Jim Caughlin on their wins. The Ford guys were thumping their chests with an all Ford final on Sunday. We will try to work with track management to get 2 races on the schedule next year. No guarantees, but we'll give it a shot. Good luck to those headed for Las Vegas.

Much thanks to the folks that put this on! Haven't been to Renegade in 28 - 30 years. Glad the goatheads are gone. Congratulations to Gary Gandee Jr and Jim Caughlin on their wins. I am all for having some more of these at some of the other tracks.
