We beat every one in town - GTOs with 421s, 409 Chevelles, 400 442s, 426s Dodges and Plymouths you name it. OK I will admit we liked short tracks - like 1000 feet (they never caught on) All except for one '65 Chevelle with a 292 dragster engine in it. My brother got a '66 327/350 hp Chevy II which was a rocket ship (fastest factory street car ever produced in my humble opinion - only weighed 2800 lbs). Maybe that is why I switched. Anyway, after the Army, I was Chevy guy. Won the AHRA PRO GT-3 Championship in 1970 in a financed (Teachers Credit Union) 302 Camaro. Been a Chevy Guy every since. Enough Nostalgia.

I do not have any money - no savings - no property - but I can make payments - I got financing (do not ask how - see a pattern here) - so I am going to do this "old school" - roll the dice and see if I can make this work - my "swan song" so to speak - at least I can leave it to Andy.

I have more guts than most of the limp, lame newbies on here who do not want to see an old broke guy give it one more try.

It is not about wining it is about having fun - I do not make the rules I just play by them

See you soon

Okay, since you are getting a new DP V-10 car maybe we can sway you back from your wayward step into the dark side. I have 16 cars and a pile full of parts: Been collecting and racing them since my graduation present of a 1971 Challenger that my Dad financed for me in 1976. Have a mess of trucks, Daily driver is an all original 98 CC Dak R/T.
Bought a 2009 R/T Challenger to stick in the garage, and my daughter drives a 2010 That we bought her. Point is, I know almost everything of importance that is going on with the Mopar world. I've been around the sport for a long time, and haven't had much time to race all the time. I make it out to most of all the "good local" races. I don't have to post my "real" name on here: Damn, it's the internet. But I have met quite a few members from this site, and honestly, and no hard feelings, I have never met anyone from California (except Sonny Barger) that I can say I honestly liked being around. And just don't "***" sume that just because someone is new to this site, that they haven't been here before, or that he or she doesn't know what's going on. My Dad was racing NHRA long before some of you could crap solid. Just do a good job with the Challenger, we true mopar people expect it. See you at the Sportsman Nats. And I could buy a DP car, I am sure easily, since my entire family are cusomers of a Dodge dealer close by. My point is, they are not "stock" production cars. I guess I'm just an old school purest. Peace. Hell, I'm thinking a 63 Dart Gt...That would piss the gazillion dollar car owners off, to be put on the trailer by that.

Hell' as big as that seat was in that old Imperial, it may as well been the trunk. Seriously, if the price or number of toys and what I own is a reflection of the size of my dick: I'm hanging damn low. Personally, I look at all my stuff as investments. I'm just a hardcore mopar enthusiast and collector of the older cars. I've got one of the 70 Super Bee six-pack cars that came from an unmetioned Louisiana Dodge dealer.

If it can run against the blown Ford and put it on the trailer, I am all for it. To me it's about putting the Fords and Chevies on the trailer. Nothin' else. Hell money is nice, but I make that doing my job, racin' is about competition and winning.

No, not "Joe Dirt", funny assed character that was... And once again...To me it's about puttin' the Chebbies and Turds on the trailer..Why do I have to post my name on the freakin' internet..I'm not a class racer..I am getting into it this year hopefully, if I have the time to dedicate to it...I've been around a long time and have run one of the fastest 10.5 outlaw 71 Darts that some of the sorrounding racers have seen. That should be a hint to those in the know. I haven't had the time that is required to dedicate to the schedule to be competitive; But every now and every other weekend I make it to the outlaw races and plunk a few grand or more on my hood, and put some Chevies and Fords back in their dog houses. I can't wait to get a big old ugly mopar stocker runnin' right so I can do it "Sportsman style". Peace racerdawg.

My low ten second car is no thrill, I wouldn't want to race anything slower. Just wouldn't feel like racing. Just because a guy has worked hard and long enough to afford a faster car doesn't mean he wants to measure anything with you. Not many of us do this for a profit. I'm happy for anybody that can afford a newer faster car. As long as the hp rating is close to correct.
Not really Ed. I had a 9 second S/G car that I also racing in SST for 18 years. Did ok with it, even won a couple mini walleys with it. I now have a 13 second Mustang stocker and I am having FAR MORE FUN with it than I ever had in the 9's at 140MPH.
And by the way, my dick went from Super Gas big to 13 second stocker small..........................................and I love it!!

My low 13 second daily driver feels slow as heck to me. It would bore me to death to be stuck with racing it. I can't imagine having to race anything much slower than what I have now. It's not about proving anything. If you can have fun in a 13 second car I'm happy for you. If you think guys liking faster cars are dick swingers, then I think you are a sad, probably jealous person.

Now there's a reference that would cause most people in the know to shut up!

Dear Ed Wright
It is not in my character to be jealous, but I do respect your opinion.

Dear Peter Ash
There are many wonderful people live in California, Andy's Dad and myself included. Maybe you should visit sometime. Ron and I can show you the sites. BTW, it was 81 degrees here today.
