The Management

Sounds like a plan.I'm in for either a suit or a new poll to membership.
Ed,

Going to court takes too much time and energy, not to mention money. Polls are a good tool to determine the interests of the racers but will have little or no effect on the issues at hand. There are much easier ways to deal with situations like this. Take Form 13909 for example, all you have to do is fill it out and file it electronically or print it out and mail it in. There is a box that can be checked and the name of the person submitting the form will be withheld. At this very moment, there are several agencies taking a long look at all motor sport not for profit organizations. There are other very simple options as well. There is no need to wrestle with these problems when there are people who get paid to do it and it won't cost you a dime.

I would bet the Gov would just jump right on something that happened almost 30 years ago.

Ed,
Google Form 13909

A100,
You are wrong on both points. 1.) There are many current issues with the tax exempt status of this organization, so we really don't have to go back 29 years. But we did anyway and it turned out to be a very rewarding exercise 2.) The agencies are very interested in this issue.

It takes time and persistence to get our membership rights restored - we have plenty of both. More to come!

I hope this doesn't turn into a "be careful what you wish for" situation. For all the talk in the past I would hate to see "Daddy Warbucks" Bruton Smith wind up with NHRA.
Would it be in our best interest for a Bill Bader takeover?I don't know that much about him, just what I've read here.

The members are the real owners of nhra. In the months or years to come it will be the members responsibility to make the important decisions. Once again, there will be voting class members and non voting class members. The voting class members should include all members with a competition number. An open web site could detail all the issues and voting results. I'm sure there will be lots of polling as well.

Believe me.....Bill Bader would be about 1000% better than Bruton Smith.

I'm hesitant to post this but oh well....

Let's say, after your research is said and done, that the vote turns out to be legal. My next question is this, nobody here seems to remember a vote, and those that do seem to remember voting no.

Would it not be possible to bring litigation against NHRA and force them to prove the validity of this supposed 'vote'.
