Wink Re: Nhra starter is a dork!!!!!

Below I10 it is cooth, and below US Hwy 90, it is coot, and much below that it is oil & water. Anyway I got it I suppose. Comes from the webbing between your toes being soaked in beer. I know Red would be a great starter. Not 'would be', Red is a great starter. Anyone who can stand all day in the heat of the Class Nationals and make that track hook time after time, and keep order in the ranks is a great starter, besides being a pretty good guy. Now that we got the cooth out of the way, how about the class and culture. I know I got that, and I usually also got cold beer. And I have it on reliable authority that Mopar was turned down for a 2011 Challenger DP with a 6.4 blown car. Just to keep things interesting.

Jeff,

I agree, before we left after Class Nationals race, I walked over and told him what a great job he had done. At the IHRA races up here, Bill does a fine job as well.

You have to remember "The Run" when Tony Schumacher was told to shut down by Rick Stewart and he looked at Alan Johnson and AJ said "No". Tony Schumacher staged the car and ran it. Of course he set the record and won the world championship. I would have liked to see them do that with Buster Couch. He would stopped the race. He was the boss of the starting line. I do not remember what the problem was, I believe it was a small leak.

Thats what the Pro's think of Rick Stewart.

Steve
