Just watching the evening news on TV here in Wake Forest and a segment comes on about the Nats @ Z -MAX. As the story progresses they showed the stockers making passes down the track and recognized Corbitt Marshburn's R/SA, Norm Griffis' V/SA, and Gary Glazener's Mustang among others.

Thursday evening back at the motel I caught some video footage and reporting of the Sportsman classes on one of the local stations in Charlotte. I forget which one.
No Force or NHRA circus, just "working class racers" as they put it.
A pleasure to watch.

When they cleaned up the oildowns they used a liquid solution (looked like soapy water).
it ran to the outside edge and also towards the finish line.
And if I remember right water runs downhill LOL.
This is one beautiful facility. I hope they run a divisional or a national open there.

Thanks Much Don! I must have the same sickness as you, when I take pix of cars at the races, I usually take one of the sticker too!

I guess the ram air part is the dual inlet hood scoop used on a '74 Duster/Dart Sport which would have had the 360/285 as a natural combination.

Anyway, thanks much again Don!!!

Nice pictures, thank you for them! The Camaro that Monty Bogan has, was that Mike Screpanski's car? I loved that car when we ran IHRA Top Stock with him, it is a gorgeous car. I gave Mike a hand to torque the heads down at TMP in 2003 and was able to see just how mint that car is.Tom Rix's Buick was another mint car as well.I hope I spelled Mike's name right though.....LOL
