Looks like somebody is $4K richer for the trip! Way to go Don for putting this together. Always remember, racers support racers and Don sells insurance for health and race cars!

And look at Rob Youngblood is flyin'!
SS/J Rob Youngblood, Nampa ID, '76 Corvette 10.231 11.38 -1.149

SS/JA Don Little, Westley CA, '70 Challenger 10.277 11.58 -1.303

SS/J & SS/JA, same weight break but two tenths harder index for SS/J over SS/JA (Little was fastest in SS/JA, Youngblood is the lone SS/J entry). If there wasn't such a penalty for having a 4-speed, Youngblood would be qualified #7 instead of #34. Amazing...

No Sean Cour first round class?? 2nd round should be fun to watch - anyone else not able to get the audicast to work?

Also what is up with Bertozzi? Multiple runs a few hundreds under the index (9.50's) at 115mph?? Is there an advantage to be the last qualifier?

The Super Stock GT/AA Shoot Out

Sorry about no reports was very busy with a engine change . any way the GT/AA shoot Out was a ball The finals was Big Block Chevy Vs Big Block Ford,Frank Grossi and Colin Wigle. Frank won $2850, for the Racers and Sponsors Purse and Colin won $1000 for runner up.

And Cour won $500 for number one qualifier with ,California Car Covers and pcrichard.com co sponsors for this purse .

The fans were really excited to see this final.

I will post some more thoughts later changing more stuff in car.Thumper the good motor had a small problem so we took Thumper out and put in Wilbur Fineswine and you guessed it it was a pig LOL

. I have some pictures to post ,where Thomas Sheehan when we need him.LOL

By the Way Frank Grossi is buying dinner for all the GT/AA racers The $2850. winners purse Dollars will be gone very quickly I suspect as it looks like about 30 or so racers . A Huge way to go to Frank Grossi and Colin Wigle, who were really thrasing for the Finals pictures to follow . By the way My picture taking is bad but we all had fun.

Special thanks to Don Kennedy for garnering support from the racers, engine builders, chassis builders and other sponsors like Jim DeFrank and Gary Richard.

It was a great day with a very memorable final round matchup between Grossi and Wigle. Two very fast cars and the fastest guy won, which isn't always the case in class eliminations. Congratulations to Frank and his hard-working posse of race track supporter!!!

My brother, Sean, showed he was definitely a contender with the new engine combination, however, the engine gremlins from Indy persisted and we had to sit this one out. We'll have to wait for Vegas in the Spring for another chance at "Fast Frank."

Man, I love that class. Those and AA/H, my two favorite classes to watch. Almost drove to Indy that Friday just to watch those two classes run. Congrats to the winners.

Don

Thanks for the reports and kudos on putting all of this together.

You can email me the pics you took and I would post them for you if you can't get them on any other way.
