Every thing went up the first of Dec about 30 + a 54 gal drum. Another hike coming Feb some time .Freight and inputs going up daily. I did get in 20+ drums yesterday for early orders. If you use less than 2 gallons per run it is still the cheapest thrill per dollar in town. C11 now is almost a 100. in 5 gal pail 54 drums 800. C12 mid eighties 650 + in drums. C16 875. drum 100+ in pails. Go fast C25 120 pails and 1100. for a drum. Tom

I bought 5 gallons at Gateway WWTR. It was $100. No mention of price increases at the time.

I heard that VP was raising the price of the drums and 5 gallon pails themselves, due to increased steel prices for the materials for the gas containers. I believe that the added price of a 55 gallon barrel itself is 25 or 30 dollars per drum. That is in addition to any increase to the actual fuel in the drum.

Good morning all,
I paid $119.95 at S&K on Long Island for a 5 Gal. container of C-11. I'm going to the dyno soon and wanted to be sure I had enough. I might be going back to pump gas for dyno testing in the future, its cheaper and makes roughly the same power. It was $109.95 from them earlier in the year. Still the most fun I have with my clothes on! Respectfully, Henry Kunz 1534 H/SA |

Henry, It’s much cheaper buying it by the drum then 5 gal cans. The Hazmat charge is the same, whether it’s 5 gallons or 54 gallons. C25 used to cost me 17.00 a gallon in a 54 drum. It was at least 20 if not 25 in a 5 gal can. It’s definitely the way. I’ll never buy it any other way, especially if I’m running a complete season. I know that’s not for everyone though. I also heard about VP raising their prices this year. I haven’t bought my fuel yet this year, so I don’t know how that is going change.

You are absolutely correct. I did buy some to make sure I would have enough fuel to finish the dyno session. I do buy fuel by the drum and it is cheaper per gallon then the 5 gallon containers. I was just showing the price increase a couple of months made and it looks like it will increase again. Yes, we went through the pump gas / race gas situation, no need to keep beating that horse. Unfortunately this is a small part of a big picture and I'll keep going as long as I physically can. Have a Good Day. Respectfully, Henry Kunz 1534 H/SA |
