Before either one of these combo's get hp on Tuesday, they both will get torn down in the barn... Right?

I remember Keith Lynch being torn down at the Chicago points meet when he ran under 1.20 on a qualifying run...

He passed and then got HP...

Both should probably have a rod and piston out, but NHRA will probably not tear either down. In my book, any run of -1.20 or more should require tear down prior to the combination being hit with hp. I doubt that would change anything in this case, but in some cases it may.

Right on, they both should be torn down before getting hp.... Otherwise What's stopping people from bombing the competitions hp rating with bogus engine... Why not pull a Bill Glidden Or Darrel Aldermqn and spike the hood with some NOS spray and fuel.... No justice....

Neither of those two racers would cheat knowingly. Both of those families have a rich history in class racing. Two fine racers.

Hold on now, Bill did it to prove a point and Bob turned him in, it was NOTHING like alderman who was using it for a while which caused Billy to get so mad to do it.

Apples to pumpkin comparison for sure!

But I agree anybody that runs enough to get hp has to be tore down or it all means nothing.

Maybe it was considered " Mine Shaft" conditions when they ran that far under.
