The information states,,,,,,,,,,

1963 = Swiss Cheese
1962 = Modified rectangular-shaped frame rails, to channel-shaped.

NHRA lists the 1962 Lightweight Catalina SD-421 at #3608 lbs., I believe.

SB Aluminum or Cast Iron
Aluminum for Drag Racing
Cast Iron for NASCAR
Ford had the same deal with the long 427 exhaust maifolds

I get it.

However if Smokey Yunick had anything to do with it back then, that alloy could exist! lol

I think what he meant to say was...Cast Aluminum exhaust manifolds or Aluminum cast exhaust manifolds...at least that's how I read it before in other articles.

'62 left hand # 54054

'62 right hand # 54053

There are some more exhaust manifolds posted here...

...or how about a Hemispherical conversion kit for your 'Poncho'

This picture was taken at Bill Blairs shop in High Point, NC. He had 4 of the swiss cheese cars at one point, and I think 3 or 4 of the 62 SD cars, one of which was the Mickey Thompson car. He also owns the prototype '63 Lemans SD car. When I was there in 1988 he also owned the original Ramchargers '63 Max Wedge car. Jim

And here's another old photo of a Lightweight Galaxie...
Any idea who owned the Plymouth? FYI, Savoy's came as sedans and Belvedere's were hard tops.
