Veteran is someone, who at one point in their life, wrote a blank check
payable to the United States of America for an amount up to, and including their life. That is beyond honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer remember that fact. Thanks to All the Veterans they gave us what we have today. "FREEDOM" __________________ That does say it all. Thanks to Bill for starting this thread and Bobby for the above statement. I would also like to thank ALL past and present Veterans for our Freedom... Keith

I will not take the credit for this statement. A Friend sent to me and I cut and pasted.
But WHAT a TRUE STATEMENT Tomorrow if you are out and see I GI in uniform buy his meal or say "THANKS"

Yes....That was the Cavs. base camp. After about 30 days after arriving I left with the HQ battery and went to Phu Cat (sp?) which was a new LZ that grew into a larger air base and never returned until I rotated back to the world on July 22nd 1967. The base camp was already there when I arrived in July 66.
