Stick car would certainly be fun, but from the announcers chair I've watched FAR too many stick cars blow the tires off @ the hit at the WRONG time, I'll take the slightly more dependable automatic. Thanks to everyone for the input, it's been educational. Dwight, "Pickles Gap, AR"? is that anywhere near Toad Suck? Unk Last edited by BobUnkefer; 11-25-2009 at 05:21 PM. |

The 396-350 will likely only cost 10hp next year QUOTE] If that happens it's a nobrainer.. |

I'm pretty sure the 396/350 combo wasn't offered in the Camaro. I know it came in the Nova, as this is the combo Gary Waldo runs.

![]() Besides you might see another Guest Racer/Announcer with a 4 gear in his hand next year somewhere. You know if he can do it, you can. He hasn't dumped a load without having a Sunday newspaper in his hand for years. LOL.

[QUOTE=Mark Yacavone;153207]It's probably a "wash" performance wise but those 95# in the trunk will help a little on those quite nose heavy combos!

Unk,
In the spirit of the holiday, I am willing to share my letter from the General of the long rumored UD/SA combo...you have to dig hard to find it but a 4.3L V-6 TBI in a 68 Camaro classified as UnderDeveloped/Stock Automatic in the AHRA class guide and was grand fathered into the NHRA class guide via an antitrust provision between the American league and the National league… |
