Thumbs up Re: Southern S/ss Association

Jim,

My car will not be ready for the race but I still want to participate, I'll throw in $50.00 bucks for the low qualifier. See you at the race!

I also like the cost of the entry fee, very affordable.

smitty,
thank you, this is the type of enthusiasm we like to see. we are doing a bracket 1 & 2 as filler for the class race. that way there is no down time and the crowd gets to see racing all day long.I can use all the help i can get that day. the lakeland track has some very capable and willing personnel , however they are not experienced with class racing but are very eager to learn.again, i cannot believe how much response we have had and i look forward to seeing each one of you. racers be prepared for interviews and pics as well as an autograph sessions. we have a new drag racing publication that is going to handle all pics, interviews etc.as well as the newsletters for the association. guys , your time has come to get the recognition and star treatment that each of you deserve.

Jim, How come you want a bracket race in the middle of a stk/superstock race? Are you foming a new Assc for S/SS or looking to duplicate NHRA?Why not do a pit vehicle and or tow vehicle race. Just my opinion,But I really dont want to hear nopi 4cyl cars when trying to hold a meeting or race just my thoughts, cell 813-363-5388 Thanks, SEE YA SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY Scott helmns 2540 Q/SA

scott, the bracket race is filler for the combo show, we are not being charged for track rental or expenses by the track, the bracket race helps the track by increasing the head count , we are by no means trying to be nhra or ihra, this race is put on so we can form the association, you make a very good point , and that is why everyone will have their say and we all will vote on it.as for the 25th race i had to do something and that format seemed to make everyone happy. the track is advertising on the radio and newspapers and mailing the flyers. I think that was a very good jesture on their part. looking forward to seeing you on the 25th.
