Default Indy 1988

Hi,

I am trying to document my 1988 Cutlass (The All American). It won Indy in 1988. Does anyone have a copy Dragster or any other publication that I can scan that shows the results?

Any other history that you can share would be appreciated too.

I will gladly pay.

Thanks,

Daren

The only thing that I can remember was the guy that WON liked to smoke a pipe and did his own transmission work …..

I may have the National Dragster(s). Let me check tonight, I have a bunch from the late-70's up through the early 90's. You can have them...I'm trying to purge my garage.

Remember watching the final. Was that the year a storm was coming fast and it rained right after the last final?

I was runner up in super stock and I believe the guy who won stock might have been the pipe smoking transmission guy named Ken Shaver

Does anyone know anything about the Buick Regal that Mike Town drove to the win that year in Super Stock?

I'm interested to know if it was a "factory car" like my Cutlass. Is it still around too?

Steve, Would you have a mid-80's (I'm pretty sure), ND that show's a from the rear pic of Steve Bagwell's '64 Plymouth Savoy SS/BA from the final round of the Cajun Nationals?

Do you also have any Car Craft Magazines (specifically the April 1972 issue), with Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins' Winternationals winning '72 Chevy Vega on it?

Might you also have a collection of SS/DI (Super Stock & Drag Illustrated), magazines from the '70's or '80's?

After Easter I will dig through my tubs Gary...I have a lot of all 3 listed from that era. Will take a while but may find some of what you seek.
