It seems now there are not a lot of FWD cars left. Some of the FWD cars I saw entered at Indy since 1998 were: Rivera's, Aries wagons, Sundance's, Delta's, Charger's, Escort's, Citation's, Cavalier's. Sunbird's, PT Cruisers, Neon's, and Omni's. I remember my first trip to Indy 15 or so years ago I saw a Dodge Omni driving to the track with decals and NHRA number on the window and a tag on the rear. The coolest has to be Art's mini van. Does anyone have any info or stories about these cars? I sure hope they are still around and didn't get crushed and turned into beer cans.
There's still a couple sitting up here on the hill.

If anyone is thinking about trying this, I want to show you what a 7 second and 50 mph difference looks like . Add a couple more seconds to that, in today's NHRA.

I assume that is John Cseh's A/S and not Tom Cross and that was the final round?

You are definitely the man winning a stock eliminator title with a FWD car, of that there is no doubt.

I did and am trying this. And that looks real familiar, just about a month ago. But I didn't do anywhere near as well. But I'm getting lots of ideas.

Two things noticeable about this pic.
1, It is a Divisional race from the 80's ,with plenty of spectators, watching real ,every day cars.
2, Every head in the place is turned towards the finish line . There must be more than one "race car" out there, in their minds.
