Interesting Jeff,
It is the swaged end coming off the cable or is it on the equipment end?
Have pulled thru a few plastic attaching parts.

(Do you slam the pedal to the metal often on the motor home?:-)

Bobby, it is the part under the hood, whichever that may be. Broke both the V8 and V10 cables.

My cousin (who was die hard dodge, then went gm and is now getting ready to go ford) has the recall and it's saying any weight on the keyring causes it to pull/twist whatever and break stuff inside. The "shutting it off with the knee" thing is gm trying to blame the drivers like toyota did with the "mat is causing the sticking throttle" issue.

It's an easy fix, take the key out, hand it to a ford salesman, drive away in a new ford...FIXED! LOL!!!
