Kenny, As Daren and Lew posted I believe the current hp for a 93 Camaro LT1 is 315 making it a natural C/PS. Min wt is 3320.
Scott and CJ. Thanks for the nice words guys, but unfortunately, there will be no commission. lol Good luck with the build Kenny. Pure Stock IMO is the last, affordable, entry level category of class racing. Hopefully IHRA will continue to offer it for years to come. If you need another car for your other son, I know where you can find one. Corbitt

Right on! I love the P/S and Crate Motor concepts. Keeping it affordable, CRAZY!! LOL! Plus these both make a great platform for a double duty car. I would hate to beat on a good NHRA legal motor to bracket race it on off weekends. Thanks Corbitt! |

My 1995 Impala SS is no Dime Rocket..
Have at least $20,000 invested over the last few years. Mostly improvements to keep it functional for racing and street. Includes new interior, paint, suspension. Owned it since new..changes were to make the car safe and reliable. Car has 197k and need to drive it to the tracks IT does have Jeff Warren built engine. Helps racers know it was built legal. IMHO it is just as expensive order a new complete Moser Rear Assembly. Then adding new gears, posi, axles and longer studs separately. Dan |

I hear both you guys. Luckily I have some buds down here that are already racing these cars and have extra parts laying around. The rear end parts I need I can get for pennies. I do plan on a strange or moser 12 bolt but down the road. I've been told I can make the stock 10 bolt live pretty easy as I'm only looking to go 8'ohs in the eighth right now. I know some crate motor guys and one has a 350 Fastburn for sale rt now for $3k carb to pan. Went 5-6 tenths under. Plus I do some work for circle burner guys down here that run ZZ4's. I can get a good one for round $1500 then go through it. Anyhow maybe I'm dreaming but this looks do-able on the cheap. Dan this car will be easier cause I don't plan on street driving it so liberties can be taken in the name of et.

Contact Mike Baker.
When racers show interest in a combination IHRA will make things work to better the sport. D Kenny: My car has gone 12.88 on 14.05 and 8.15 on 9.10 index in great Cecil County Cold Air Day. It needs to be heavy..4300 plus sized...Tar Heal and Corbitt know !! AND still get 19mpg on the long road home... D Last edited by Dan Fahey; 09-11-2013 at 03:56 PM. |

I have this car that I would like to race, but would rather not put a cage in it as it is in pretty nice condition. ![]() |

Beautiful car! You don't need a bar IIRC until 11.50 so unless it falls into A or B/PS and you go really far under you won't have to deal with that. We should be right there in cold air but don't want to put one in either.

Wagering it would fall into C, D or E/PS. NHRA rated them from H/SA to M/SA d Last edited by Dan Fahey; 09-11-2013 at 04:58 PM. |
