I agree with Ed on the tech stuff, that is why I keep an eye on Comp also.

As a diehard Ford fan; I am very happy with Larry Morgan's 6.498@211.46. Hopefully he will be a top half car this year.

That's an excellent pass from a pro stock team. They've certainly achieved their goal of getting press coverage for the sponsor. But as someone mentioned earlier, big numbers this time of year are not uncommon considering the weather and track conditions. Although I have great respect for that team the the technology they are exploiting, the numbers themselves don't mean a whole lot without fuel check, scales and NHRA tech. Qualifying at Pomona will show everyone how fast they are in the real world. Personally, I'm looking for some surprises out of Mike Edwards.

Racers running stock have a lot to learn from the Pro Stock guys. A lot of the same technology applies. Some just don't realize it.

You guys know the head off a ford and dodge will interchange except for valve covers right. All the clutches are a neutral pattern on the crank. They are high dollar Air Pumps with a sticker on it. Why do you think the heads will interchange between the ford and dodge, well it made the switch easy for Larry Morgan.

When they go through NHRA tech, fuel, weight, and the spoiler and templant system, then run that fast I will believe it!
