Thanks bud, and congrats on another runner-up. I know you'll make something of yourself someday! Get your spacer? I gave it to Jim at Martin last week.

Phil -
Rule #1: Don't spend any money.
Rule #2: Don't grow up.

Been doing some more thinking about your ride... consider a heat gun or temp gauge directly on the intake manifold. I'm thinkin' that's where your ET is moving around, since you said you were getting the *engine* temp the same. I see Gale Pinkston ice the intake on his Camaro every single run... food for thought.

For Mike Volkman.... after studying the photo Butch posted, I'm wondering if you don't need to go *up* on the tire pressure. I've run into traction issues by running tires too low as much (if not more) than having them too high. Running them too low, you may be wearing out the sidewall before you wear out the 'tread'.

As per usual, the BIGGEST problem there is racers parking in sandy areas and then not cleaning out their wheel wells/rocker panels in the staging lanes. I didn't see hardly anyone making sure their cars were clean, and people give me funny looks when I'm banging on the wheel well to get rid of a half-handful of sand. If people would quit dragging crap up there with them and dumping it in front of their OWN tires, their experience would be better. The track prep itself was great.

CalTracs, Calvert split mono-leaf springs, Calvert 9-way adjustable shocks, and 29.5x9 M/T Radials @ 20psi, I had absolutely ZERO problems. 60' times were 1.40-1.41 over the course of 3 days, day to night, lane to lane, even playing with launch rpm and shock settings. (I know, not too fast for a S/S'er, but I'm only running a 4.56 gear...)
