Jim,

Happy Anniversary-I hope you did something on Saturday night other than watch the Phillies!

Now enjoy the winter and see lots of good music and if you are bored on Monday Mornings, from 8-10, go to WONYFM.COM

If you would like to race this way build a bracket car or race the .90 classes dont change S/SS quail thats a Lame Idea Sorry.......
I beleve, from a story I was told years ago, that the reason for random first round pairings at Nat'l Opens were due to cars attempting Records. Some would come to set it, then go home, whether they got it or not. This would create many bye runs first round. Thus, the random first round pairs. Whether this story/reason is true, I do not know.

As for the part about the dial-in, why would you dial your car different based on who your opponent was or how fast they were? I ran my street Camaro on Wednesday night Street Legal Night at times. Double entered in Street Automatic and Modified, which was open to any car, including those not street legal. I raced against everything from 8 and 9 second Super Gas cars, to 18 second sport compact cars in Modified. And, I dialed my car whatever I thought it was going to run, usually 14.1's, regardless of whether I was receiving or giving up a 5 second spot. If I thought the car would run 14.15, I dialed 14.15.
