Thumbs up SS/E 2008 Mustang at Atlanta

Good Luck to George Wright and Jimmy Ronzello on their first event with the Convertible.

They bought a Shelby and Ford asked them to turn it into a Cobra Jet according to their website.

There are actually 54 Cobra Jets that have "FR500CJ" serial numbers. 50 regular production cars built by Roush. 2 pre-production builds and 2 "mules". Our car is one of the "mules". It is the only convertable.

Talking Re: SS/E 2008 Mustang at Atlanta

I was at Atlanta for all 4 days of the race, and I spoke to George and Jimmy on numerous occasions. The question has been asked concerning what changes were made to convert the car to SS. Jimmy told me that they installed more aggressive cams, but did not change the intake manifold because there isn't anything available at this time; and, of course, they ran the wider tires that are allowed in SS. Hope that this info answers everyone's questions.
