Re: 72 mustang question
Humm 10 parts at 1000.00 each or 20 parts at 500.00 each and how many parts do you need plus labor I guess you could try it.But if you are going to do it you may as well try to get the best that you can so that you don't have to do things twice.Check out what those two racers with the firebird and the camaro have done and they are just running the index.Even though you only need about 450 hp it just don't come cheap with these factory cars and engine.

What are you going to do about heads up runs? I know you'll be there to find them in later rounds. Much safer in U/SA Bill is probably right about the weight, but I'd set the 302, C4 in it , take all the street junk off, and get it on a scale, or borrow the four wheel kind. The 302 is so soft , you could stand an extra 100 pounds. Get ahold of Mike Graham...BJ is gonna need someone to race in class!

Re: 72 mustang question
Well thats sucks. U/SA it is I guess. I have a spare motor, trans and parts for the 302. Guess I'll sell off the 351 parts. Sorry for wasting you guys time.

Re: 72 mustang question
Mark is right. Not going to build a E car for 10k. You can build a Maverick for less than 10k that will go 1.3+++ under easily. I have one. Not much worry about heads up with only 2 cars in the division. There are also advantages to being able to qualify where you want to. Mark knows what the combo needs for a converter.

Re: 72 mustang question
Wish BJ the best of luck from me Mike. The Maverick makes a great platform for this stuff.

Re: 72 mustang question
Build the Cleveland...its not that hard or costly
Mine is coming together slowly, not much time for me to work on it this time of year I will be fluctuating between C and D/S depending upon how well I get the car working |
