Wheel tub Saturday.
Little Chief has worked his magic for an excellent fit. Right side goes in next then a raised flooring section over the frame. The tubs are 38", looks just right and centered in fender opening. The 32 x 14 M/T has plenty of room all round. Also notice components removed from bed for final cleaning and coating. I am experimenting with a light coat of 3M undercoater. I want the bed to have a clean appearance even though it will have an aluminum cover. The rear third of the cover will hinge upward for access to battery and fuel. More photos soon.

Sunday afternoon tid bits;
gauge mounting, Little Chief built shifter mounting box, steering wheel in place. It makes a difference as these small items are installed. With each small step the project is closer to race ready.

Tuesday is a good progress day.
*We have wiring being roughed in at the relay panel *shifter mounting box fitted to floor *both tubs now in place *switch panel mounted in dash bezel. Notice the switch panel in angled toward the driver so the digital dial-in display is straight on to drivers vision.

Although it requires the leaning of the passenger seat, it is still too close to the driver. The following is an excerpt from the General Regulations, Section 20, Page 36, 3rd Paragraph: "All removable or pin-type timing devices are prohibited. Two-steps or other rev limiters that are adjustable by thumbwheel, replaceable chips, and the like may not be within the driver’s reach and will preferably be located outside the driver compartment." |

I was wondering if anyone would bring up the 2 step location.
The rule was not listed in the 2014 book, and strangely, it wasnt listed as a revision when I went through tech "class" last month. Clark |

One of our NHRA Division 4 tech inspectors works in Kilgore near my shop. I will ask him to come take a look and give an opinion.
If it is not acceptable I need to know now before wiring begins. It is no problem to move it however, there is no way the driver can reach it or even see it when strapped in. Racers, am I to understand that no super stocker has the MSD components mounted inside the car?
