This series shows the master switch on/off hardware.
The master switch is mounted inside the bed near the battery. The switch stem goes through the bed wall into the taillight area. The push/pull control rod and handle exits through the taillight lens. With a mounting bracket the forward push/pull cable comes back inside the bed at top of right side wheel tub. From there in goes inside the cab to a control lever mounted by the shifter. Now the driver has the convenience of on/off power while seated in the cab.

visualizing where to mount the switch and dial board controller.
rear struts in place, next comes "X" tubing to triangulate the rear bars and rear frame section. Also coming soon the bed will be welded to the new frame in several places welding tabs in a number of carefully chosen locations.

Everything looks good, Larry. I like the remote control cable for the battery cut off switch and I think it would work well in my Mustang. What Morse cable and hardware did you use? Is it a parking brake cable or hood release? What about the cab lever? Are you going to fabricate it? The best I could find are parachute release handles.
Keep it up and thanks for the info and pics. Dale |

Dale,
the cable is push/pull Morse cable like will be found with a dragster throttle cable. It is 10 foot in length [the cables are generally available in one foot increments in many lengths.] It has a 10/32" thread on each end and uses "clip style" hardware. Several vendors sell the cables and hardware. "The Chassis Shop" is one example among several others. The handle will be a chute release handle. I will have more photos soon.

Other sources can be marine suppliers. Morse cables are used extensively in boats for control.

Mark, Thank You, that is a very nice kit.
Dale, while the kit Mark listed is excellent it cost $200.00. In keeping with my theme of building everything that is practical / reasonable in house I have about $70.00 in supplies for my shop built version. I will have photos of the completed system soon. The shifter mounting console box is under construction now. Again, Thanks to all who are watching and enjoying. This is a cool project and quickly becoming my favorite race car, --- eerr - race truck ![]() I am growing to like the S-10 package. It is working out well and I expect it to perform well. All the GT truck classes are NHRA minimums. That is to say no one has claimed a record in any of those classes. Many Many Many Moons ago I held records in the old IHRA Formula gas classes. Two different records over a period of three seasons. That was 48 years ago - WHEW! So, once the Super 10 is worked out I will consider setting the record in "C" At age 68 it will be a good swan song.

well darn! The Super 10 won't run that fast. Whew, that is trucking at C weight. I "think" 10.20's is in my range with a 327 and the small carb.

Fuel pump mounting details.
Also note, everything comes back out of the bed for paint once all fitting is completed.
