Your seat seems fine to me. I like the independently secured headrest in the Camaro better, though. It just seems like it would offer better protection in the event of a crash.
What does the tube running into the back of the Mustang's headrest mount too? It slides up and down on the crossbar attachment, correct? Looks like an impact could cause it to pivot to one side or the other. There should be two stock rods running down into the seat back for the headrest, but they aren't very secure on our family cars. But they are DOT approved. General 10.6 addresses headrests. It says seats incorporating reinforced headrests are allowed. I'm not sure the Mustang set-up fits that. One of the illustrations included matches the Camaro headrest. Dale |

I think it would be safer with the headrest attached to the seat so that the two don't move independently. Seems that a seat moving one way and headrest another could cause issues in a crash. I understand the Camaro seat is a low back with no head rest. I appreciate the factory look, but I personally would prefer aftermarket seats for safety and weight savings.
Looking good though. |

I finally figured a solution to mating the shifter to the console...expect the next photo's to show shifter, gauges and switches permanently installed. If I like this shifter as much as I think I will I may have to put one in the Camaro.

Hopefully I made a good choice in rocker arms...don't have any experience with pedestal mounts. I'll mock up and check everything before ordering some thicker wall pushrods.

I've been over 7500 rpm repeatedly with those. No problems at all.

I hope those rocker arms do good for you because I sold them to you. They very well may be Scorpions as that is one of the companies that Ford Racing sources rocker arms from. Crane is the most common manufacturer but they also use Comp Cams and one other company that I cannot think of right now. best regards, Roland |
