4 foot LED shop lights - Page 2

I converted my shop at home 2 years ago to 8' twin V strip 270 degree tubes . the difference in light and electric consumption is tremendous . I am saving nearly 20% on my electric bill since switching.
I just converted 16 2 x 4 4 tube fixtures in the building I moved my race shop to after the flood .
I only used 2 tubes in each fixture and the light output is tremendous for a 14' ceiling.

I just bought a 24 inch by 24 inch led high bay light at Rural King $59 on sale .It replaced a 6 T8 light and it is probably 4 times as bright

Installed Installed 7 250w LED High Bay Fixture similar to what Sean suggested. They provide excellent light. The negatives are the brightness which gets your attention to look up with the result being like welding flash but after a while the attraction stops. The other is the color temp which is up there 6k - 6.5k which is "daylight" where "cool white" about 5k is more comfortable. Daylight has been widely used in industrial, laboratory, and surgical settings as well as signage. Less power consumption and more light is worth it.

OK looking at 8ft LED tubes need some opinions 5000K OR 6000K? 65W OR 90W?
Cold weather has hit and the fluorescents are dying. 30 x 60 shop 20ft ceiling currently 8 2 tube fixtures.

Always use the brightest (color rendition) you can. Stay with anything 6000K or higher and also the highest wattage you can get.

Hello. I saw multiple sources, and I can say that if you want to economize money and have good thick lighting, you can try simple LED lights. However, you can opt for the smart ones as you have more control over them in brightness and intensity. I'm using smart LED bulbs from amazon for my home, and I can say that I'm satisfied with the result. The best is that Alexa controls them, so I can even use my voice beside my smartphone. I have them preset at 10 pm to slowly decrease their intensity and change their color to red to prepare myself for sleep, and at every moment, I can turn on and off this preset. You may try them, who knows, maybe you'll like them.

When I built my garage 9 years ago 30 x30 with 12 foot high ceilings I put 4 strings of single tube LED's. color was 4500. Great lighting and no shadows.

Who does LEDs to replace 4' T8 fluorescents that are plug and play?

I have 96 4' tubes on my ceiling and really don't want to fool with all that wiring.. The light is great, but I'm about to use my last spares and am wondering if it would be wise to switch.

I bought some on Amazon for my house. Just do a search there. Remember the ballast will still consume power if its not eliminated. They use about 10 watts so 48 two bulb fixtures is about 500 watts
