On the AEM Failsafe, the data logger is built into the gauge. On my car, I have a toggle switch that turns on the +12V to the Failsafe, and about 4 seconds later it starts logging. Then after I pass the finish line, I turn the switch off. Then when I get to the pits I download the run. It's a nice piece of equipment, and because I run an EFI system with alot of boost and only 4 injectors, I need a device like that for extra insurance. Here is a pic of my setup within arm's reach while belted up. ![]() This is what the download will look like on the computer : (It plots one of those yellow blocks 20 times per second) ![]()
