Rod lives about a half hour from me. He has always had the means to build these fast street cars and built a niche for himself. That's what he likes to do.
Rod sold the '63 car for $300k. Who ever bought it took the bath, not Rod. Roy Sinor was representing the car at BJ along with the '67 L88 Corvette owned by the Steinman Brothers. |

FYI, there was a very nice Le Mans blue original '68 L88 Corvette with original drive train and all paperwork that sold for $880k. Not bad for one of the worst year Vettes built. 80 were built in 1968.
At the end of the day, all L88 Corvettes will rule the roost in collector cars. The '69 Rebel L88 Corvette did $2.7 million plus the commission. So, L88's made a statement at the BJ auction this year. PS: by the way, golfer Bubba Watson, who I have never heard of before is only 35 years old. What does he know about these cars. Nadda.............just felt like blowing $4 million bucks. So, car did not even get a good home. Last edited by z28camaroman; 01-23-2014 at 07:00 PM. Reason: typo |
