It is really a shame to see such a nice facility go down. Racers would get upset when tracks not half as nice as this one would get shut down. This was always one of my favorite stops on the IHRA Pro am series.

That was only one Pro Am race on the schedule but it was nice because it's only an hour away and a very easy tow; 4-lane the whole way. There are still many options, just further away. San Antonio, etc. Our main concern was that was the closest track to the house (and it is NICE!!!) so when we want to bracket race, test, ... now we'll have to travel to Ennis which I personally don't care for.

I sent Frank an email. Hope to hear from him soon.
Hope this is not true, but there has been so much drama around the track, I am not holding my breath. This facility is one of the nicest tracks in the IHRA or any system... While the weather and scheduling conflicts have hurt attendance at IHRA races the last couple of years, I think that about anyone that has ever raced there would agree that it is a top notch track. Fletch, pictures dont do it justice. Smooth, hooked and clean. Glood layout, restrooms, etc. All top notch. Easy highway access. Just a great track. While not big enough for a Nat. event, it did well with Div. races. I was looking forward to the Fab Five race at the end of Feb. too. Maybe they can keep that somewhere close, even if not at Crandall... With Denton now IHRA, might be an option? Not sure if big enough for what they were planning for car counts or not? Will let everyone know what I hear. Ken |

Somebody there close could just dial up the truck salvage that supposedly bought it, and ask. Right?
No waiting for an email response.
