Have you purchased your car yet? Corbitt is selling his on racing junk and the price is right. You couldn't build it for what he is asking and it already has a 12-bolt and some nice pieces. If I'm not mistaken too it runs under the index so it's turn key. Those are great cars as you can easily stay in Pure Stock while you learn and then "step-up" (not my idea Dan) to crate motor or FIA. Corbitt is in Eastern NC so it wouldn't be a horrible tow plus you could stop at Sonny's BBQ on the way. Boy, I miss those!!!

Thanks Scott, Already have a deal, just waiting to take delivery. I looked at that car, nice piece. I'm hoping to be under the index for 4-5k total investment tho. Looks like it shouldn't be a problem.

That's the one I was talking about. If it wasn't half way across the country I'd buy that one for me let my wife drive the Corvette. Those cars are great platforms Kenny and yes the IHRA Pure Stock indexes can be achieved without breaking the bank. F-body parts are much less expensive than some. A good set of headers, converter, gear and lightweight wheels with sticky tires will get you there ... Also get a nice tune and lose some weight by ditching the AC, smog equipment, etc. Those have always been one of my favorite body styles for Stockers.

I can assure y'all the car that Corbit has is VERY NICE. I have seen it personally and can vouch for a very nice car with the dad and son being very standup people. If I wasn't knew deep in my car I would love to have his to let my wife start out racing.

You can't go wrong with his car.

Yes, Corbitt and his son bought my first bolt-on Impala SS many moons ago when I lived in the mountains of NC. Great guys! Colby was just a baby then ... Corbitt talked to me about the Camaro and even without seeing it I'm sure it's very nice and for the money you won't go wrong. Again, if I wasn't 1000+ miles away we'd pick it up. That would make a great entry level Stocker for someone.

You got it Dan.

Thanks guys. Im getting this car for $2500 with some bolt ons. Its going 8.90-9.0's already and the D/PS index is 8.50. Luckily I have several buds racing these cars so I already so I have some parts lined up. Got skinnys on the shelf and just bought some rear wheels off a fellow Classracer dude today. I have a good bud who is a computer car guru w/ a chassis dyno close by too. This oughta be fun! Pretty good starter car for a kid. Course dad will shake it down till next April when he turn 16!

PS I can see this will be the start of my downfall! LOL! My bucket list car is a 66-67 Chevy II stick SS'er. My favorite was the old Mike Thomas Caliber racing deuce. I have a 325hp 327 ratholed away and even had a Jerico on the shelf at one point.
