TruckFuel $250
Race fuel $100 if you go more then 4 rounds
Food $80
Hotel $225

If you went to all 6 in division races and 2 out of division races it would costs at least $7930 to try and win the div which pays what 2-3 grand and a gold card. I don’t see to many people chasing after div points again this year. You must enter 12-15 pts races and nationals events the next year for the gold card to even come close to paying for itself.

Not sure what the contingency program is. But, in 2010, a friend was runner-up at the Div 1 LODRS at Maple Grove. He won $400 (four hundred) and "some sticker money".

For me, personally, any Div 1 NHRA race is close to, or more, than a thousand dollar investment. Norwalk and Columbus Div'l races maybe 600-700. Any IHRA weekend (other than Pittsburgh) is also $1K bill for the weekend, or more. Pretty much, I would have to win the (NHRA( race to make anything (R/U I might not even break even). IHRA, I need to win one day or R/U both days to break even (unless I sleep in a tent beside the trailer and eat baloney sandwiches all weekend for every meal).

Question Re: 2013 NHRA Div 3 Stock Champion predictions

Thanks Bob but iam only going to 2-3 pts races this year and I don't think that's going to get it done.

Kris you might be able to make around $2250 total if you win a pts and runner up you would be lucky to make to make over $1000. I won pts meet in 2010 in SS and got $2400 total.

I won the Indy Open in Stock with Bob Gipson's Chevelle once. I didn't qualify for any contingency at all. I kind of thought Sunoco would have paid since they were the event sponsor at the time. Nope. Got a nice Sunoco hat though? LOL.

Bottom line is that any of this with money as your target is crazy.

National class championship doesn't pay too bad though, does it? Of course that requires a heck of a lot of effort, time and money...course a fast car helps.

Well I agree but you have to have some chance of making something somewhere in this deal or we are all totally brain dead. I know this is getting off topic but Fletcher doesn't travel coast to coast with no chance of making money right? I know he is pretty much doing all National events which is probably a better return on your investment as long as they are somewhat close to home.

Nothing I guess...if you're not hungry and/or don't want to have a good meal that morning.afternoon/evening. Definately not six to nine meals a day.
