Bruce thank you thats the sprit !!!!!!

Well, ain't it a shame. I warned you all about what would happen when the factories could put anything they wanted in Stock, when they did not even have to build a car to get it put in the guide.

Oh well. Suck it up buttercup.

I'm afraid you are thinking of me, and I was listening to the wrong person at GM Powertrain.

There wasn't going to be any copo's but obama wanted his company to look good so he decreed the copo stood for "Comrade Obama's Politnatz Orderinski". It was supposed to have a hammer and sickle on the side like the mustangs have a cobra but the graphic's weren't "green" enough and were cancelled.

The good thing is, if they do have too much power it will be "redistributed" to other racers.

(after all, regardless of the work involved, at some point there has to be a limit on how much power somebody can make) LOL!!!

We were on the original program that was cancelled. We were told the program was dead. All the way up until October of last year. The people in charge of the original program that was killed off when GM filed bankruptcy were not heavily involved in the new program.

I don't like the under factored Camaro any better than the others. I just find it exceptionally amusing that people who thought it was cool that the old cars got screwed over now complain about the newest cars.

What goes around comes around.

I don't think anyone with a new car is complaining that the COPOs are underfactored. I think it's more of gentle ribbing between friends and some one pointing out how it was funny that some that were complaining about how unfair it was when Ford and Mopar was doing it but crickets when the Bowtie entered the game and it was way more honest lol. Most of the new car guys knew exactly what was coming. The 8.8s is not surprising to me in the least. I personally expected the 4.0 to run 8.5-6s off the trailer, the 2.9s 9.2s and the 427 9.9-10.0s. Once one gets built I see them all dropping ETs drastically.

Perhaps I'm off on some guys being upset about the new kids on the block but I don't get that impression by those who are racing the CJs and MOPARs. Atleast not seriously but jokingly.
