Any chance ford will offer a lightweight racers option? Heater and radio delete, manual steering, That type of stuff?

If it is classified in E/S-E/SA or F/S-F/SA , I think you could drive to the track, put on some DR's open the headers and be able to run the index with a tune and simple bolt-ons. Granted not be very competitive. Just like the old old days. It sure would be fun tho

I'm confused with the "if it gets classified as an...". Aren't the weight specs already out? The horsepower is 412. The weight is 3680-something or other which makes it a B car.
Am I missing something or are we playing the.......What number is Ford going to make up this time game?

Mike you are missing everything. No one at NHRA gives a crap about a 40 year old combo. You can change with the times or stay the same.

You won't drive any of them to the track, there are no VIN's.

What am I missing? The rulebook? The car is available to the public as it sits and goes high-11's with a stick and a little work. Maybe you need NHRA to make up some number so you can run fast. I have no idea but I do know that anyone who is anyone can make this ACTUAL production car run and run well in B.
Excuse me for being out of touch when I asked if a car that rated at 412 and has a weight of 3670 pounds from the factory is going to be available in the classification guide without some massaging so the general public with $100,000 sitting around can be #1 and pretend like they have a big ****.

Mike you guys act like this HP game is something new to the sport. Get over it, it has been this way for 50 plus years. NHRA makes the rules NOT ford, gm or any other car company. Sorry your 40 year old combo is no longer one of the faster cars. You spent tens of thousands of dollars cheating up your old car and now with one stroke of the pen NHRA has ***%ed all you cheaters. That is the real problem you guys have.
